Game to learn to form sentences with up to 90 characters pictograms classic stories. Build multitude of phrases with 15 dice, depending on their color, they represent different elements of prayer.
Create sentences easily using different coloured dice!
Objectives:
– Helps children to learn how to build sentences with the help of pictogram dice
– Expands their vocabulary by semantic fields. Each dice is based on a specific grammatical
category (see ANNEX I)
– Helps to identify nonsensical sentences (when, after throwing the dice, the sentence doesn’t
make sense: e.g. “Pinocchio brushes the ball”)
– Helps to develop attention and memory skills
– Stimulates communication
– Facilitates the introduction to reading
Method of play:
1. Listen to the stories on the MP3 CD to familiarize yourself with the characters
(subjects) on the pictogram-dice.
2. Learn the relationship between the colour of the dice and the elements of a sentence
(the colours are based on the International Pictogram Communication System, SPC).
3. Decide how many elements you want to form part of the sentence and choose one
coloured dice to represent each of these elements.
4. Throw each of the selected dice and form a sentence using the pictograms that
appear.
Suggestions for use:
– Depending on the children’s ages you can use more or fewer dice/elements of a sentence.
– Examples are attached of sentences formed by pictures, created using different numbers of
dice/elements of a sentence.
